{"id":1085,"date":"2019-06-17T21:39:45","date_gmt":"2019-06-18T02:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ecl-wrdpws-p04.ad.bcm.edu\/txbonedisease\/?page_id=1085"},"modified":"2026-02-25T16:46:24","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T22:46:24","slug":"scanco-uth","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/txbonediseaseprogram.org\/index.php\/scanco-uth\/","title":{"rendered":"Scanco vivaCT40 (UTHH)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School UTHealth has a <strong>vivaCT 40 <\/strong>machine that can be utilized by members of the Bone Disease Program of Texas for research purposes.&nbsp;&nbsp;This&nbsp;<em>in vivo<\/em>&nbsp;cone-beam microCT has a 5 \u2013 76 \u00b5m nominal isotropic pixel size. It can be used to image specimens up to 80mm in diameter and 500mm in length.&nbsp;&nbsp;An animal anesthesia machine is available in the lab to support&nbsp;<em>in vivo<\/em>&nbsp;studies (investigators&nbsp;must provide IACUC approval letters prior to project initiation).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">To <strong>schedule<\/strong> time on the machine, please
